This mountain of easy access is located amid the most important mountain peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. The Pisco ascent provides an excellent opening to the high mountain world of the Cordillera Blanca. The summit (5,752 m) rewards us with one of the most fantastic high mountain panoramas of the world, a panoramic view of 360° in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca showing us the most important and beautiful Cordillera Blanca mountains: Huascarán (6,768m), Huandoy (6,395m), Chacraraju (6,122m), Chopicalqui (6,345m), Pyramid Garcilazo (5,885m), Artezonraju (6,025m), Alpamayo (5,947m), Yanapaccha (5,460m), Caraz (6,025m), Santa Cruz (6,020m). Because of these superb views the Pisco ascent should be considered obligatory by every Cordillera Blanca mountain climber. The ascent doesn't require any high altitude camping because from base camp (4,400m) we can reach the summit in just a few hours.
